Lacy Faddoul and Marcus Grodd: Inside Their ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Wedding
While last night’s (August 2) premiere of Bachelor in Paradise Season 2 was chock full of drama — mostly courtesy of Ashley Iaconetti and her hilariously candid sister, Lauren — the hookups and tears took a backseat for Lacy Faddoul and Marcus Grodd’s long-awaited wedding... and now we have more details from the emotional ceremony!
The adorable couple, who met and fell in love on the first season of the Bachelor spin-off last year, tied the knot in front of family and the second season’s cast on June 4 at Playa Escondida in Sayulita, Mexico. And according to People, it was a no-brainer when it came to whether or not they’d film their nuptials for the show.
“Marcus and I met on Bachelor in Paradise; that's where our solid foundation started,” Lacy tells the mag. “We thought, 'Why not start the next chapter of our lives there as well?’”
Lacy’s stunning dress, which had viewers raving all over social media, was courtesy of Mac Duggal, who created a custom “beachy” gown for the bride. The designer has been having a big moment in Bachelor Nation recently, having also provided Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Bachelorette 2015 finale dress.
Another no-brainer for the wedding was to have host Chris Harrison officiate the ceremony. “He is a man known for love, so who better to do that?” Lacy gushed. Agreed! Add in the self-written vows from both bride and groom and the tears were flowing.
“Marcus and I spent a lot of time thinking about what we wanted to say,” the newly-married gal, 26, recounts. “They are all very personal, so when he started saying them, I was bawling!”
What fans didn’t get to see on-camera, though, was the gorgeous reception, in which the new Mr. and Mrs. Grodd and their families enjoyed an intimate five-course dinner and indulged in vanilla strawberry wedding cake. Lacy and Marcus then jetted off to nearby Punta Mita, Mexico, for a romantic honeymoon filled with fun activities like ziplining and swimming with dolphins.
Up next for the couple? Starting a family! Though Marcus is currently away at boot camp for the U.S. Coast Guard, the newlyweds won’t be waiting too long to add some little ones to their household. Lacy wants twins and Marcus is hoping for three or four mini Grodds. We can’t wait to meet the adorable new additions!
