Lady Mary’s Lover Kemal Pamuk to Star in Major Movie Franchise!
Who could forget Kemal Pamuk? The dashing Turkish diplomat literally rode in on a white horse when he came a-callin' at Downton Abbey way back in Season 1. Handsome, charming, and exotic, Kemal quickly won his way into Lady Mary’s good favors and, much more scandalously, into her bed.
Unfortunately, however, Mary was dealing with a different kind of stiff by the end of the evening. While in the throes of passion, Kemal kicked the bucket. The obviously shocked Mary ended up enlisting the aid of her mother and maid to get Kemal back into his own bed before anyone realized what had happened.
Although Kemal only appeared in that one episode of Downton, the events of that evening had far-flung consequences including holding up the eventual union of Mary and Matthew. So what’s Theo James, the actor who played the lusty troublemaker, been up to since he mixed things up at the Abbey? Just landing himself major acting roles!
Theo, a 29-year-old actor originally from Oxford, England, stars as Detective Walter Clark, the lead of new CBS crime drama Golden Boy. He’s also playing main love interest Four in upcoming teen series turned movie franchise Divergent. See him get hot and heavy with leading lady Tris (Shailene Woodley) in a clip from the film. Thankfully, his heart doesn’t give out this time around.
Look for Theo on the big screen when Divergent hits theaters Friday, March 21.
