Lamar Odom Opens Up About His Relationship With Ex-BFF Rob Kardashian (VIDEO)

Lamar Odom is finally opening up about his relationship with former BFF Rob Kardashian and how he’s handling his past addiction issues.

The former NBA star stopped by The Wendy Williams Show to dish on his troubled past, including his relationship with ex-wife Khloe Kardashian.

Though he was able to make amends with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star following his 2015 overdose, his relationship with her brother will never be the same.

“We were close. He has a child. I haven’t met his child yet or anything,” the 37-year-old said in a sneak peek clip.

In fact, his tumultuous relationship with Koko deeply affected his friendship with the father of one.

“I don’t know,” the Los Angeles Lakers vet revealed when asked why he doesn’t speak with Rob anymore.

“I guess maybe it’s because I hurt his sister too much. I have no idea. If she was my sister, I would have a problem with me too.”

The 32-year-old married the basketball star in September 2009 after knowing each other for just over a month, and officially divorced last year.

Meanwhile, Lamar has had a difficult relationship with drugs and alcohol for many years.

Following his near-fatal overdose in 2015, the father of two checked into a rehab facility and vowed to change his life for good.

“I wasn’t in a good place mentally before the incident happened,” he told Dr. Travis Stork of The Doctors in January.

“My wife at the time, we were going through some things. And I was in a dark place.”

Though he’s trying to repair his life and get back on track, Lamar just can’t seem to escape the rumors he’s still doing drugs.

In fact, just last week, ESPN host Stephen A. Smith joked about the athlete doing crack on his show, First Take.

Lamar then tweeted his response on Friday, June 23, which was simply just a letter written by his lawyer with the hashtags “#slander #ihopewearebetterthanthis.”

“Let’s put aside the fact that Lamar passed all the required physicals and medical tests necessary to play in the league,” his attorney wrote.

“Let us look at what this statement does, not only to Lamar, but to any and all professional athletes that are struggling with addiction.

Stephen released an apology, saying, “My comments were NOT to put any more focus on Lamar Odom’s much publicized drug use and addiction. He was not the target of my ire."
