A source close to Lamar claims that, since Khloe filed for divorce on Friday, Lamar has felt as if a weight has been lifted and is glad to no longer be at the beck and call of Khloe Kardashian and momager Kris jenner. The pal tells HollywoodLife, “'Good luck to whoever she’s with now. It’s better a new dude than him. Now he doesn’t have to suffer with all the headaches and demands and all of her family pressure.'”
According to the insider, Lamar is planning to return to normal life and cut ties with his soon-to-be ex-wife, and seeing her move on has made it just that much easier.
“He’s relieved he’s no longer a part of all that media circus,” says the friend. “He feels that anyone who dates her next will have to put every inch of their lives on public display, and he’s so glad he doesn’t have to do that anymore.”
While Lamar may be putting on a brave face, this is the same man who claimed just six weeks ago that he and Khloe were “unbreakable,” and refused to take off his ring, despite his wife clearly being O-V-E-R his antics — so it doesn't seem likely he'd be bragging about having kicked his marriage to the curb.
Even if Khloe is moving on, it may not be because of Matt — sources claim that she's still pretty broken up about her breakup and, despite her quick jump from single girl to married lady with Lamar, she’s not rushing into a relationship with the Dodgers hunk.
While we’re glad Khloe's doing so well, despite the divorce proceedings, it looks like Lamar should start swimming if he’s going to stay so deep in denial.
