Khloe Kardashian's husband Lamar Odom finally broke his Twitter silence late last night in the wake of his rumored drug addiction, revealing shocking details about his broken childhood. In one of the most intense confessions we've ever read, the former L.A. Lakers player blames his "downfall" and "demons" on an unnamed man — most likely his father, Joe.
"How can a man who has NOT once called me to check on my well being have the nerve to talk so recklessly about his own 'son.' He is my downfall! His own demons may be the ONLY thing he gave 2 me," Lamar writes.
While he doesn't elaborate on what those demons are, many are speculating that he's referring to his rumored crack cocaine use. Back in 2011 during his debut episode of Khloe & Lamar, the 33-year-old athlete revealed that his father is a heroin addict.
So what does Joe have to say for himself in the wake of Lamar's Twitter rant?
"I've been clean 30 years. I'm in a program," Joe tells TMZ.
And as for Lamar? To the best of papa Joe's knowledge, he's clean too.
"I really don't believe the things they're saying about him. To me, my son is clean," he explains. "He does the right thing, works out, he's about basketball, he's about his job. I hear people talk about him like that and I get frustrated."
Regardless of what happened during Lamar's childhood, it seems like Joe is finally stepping up to the plate and supporting his son.
What do you think of Joe's comments? Do you think that Lamar is really clean or is he in denial? Weigh in below.
