RHONY’s Carole Radziwill: “Last Season I Cried, This Season I Scream” (VIDEO)

It’s been a while since we last checked in with Real Housewives of New York’s resident journalist, Carole Radziwill — too long, really. But with the Bravo reality show’s sixth season fast approaching, we’re excited to learn that the fifth season newbie has found her sea legs. In fact, she admits she even “enjoyed” the screaming this time around!

Last we saw the women in fall 2012, fellow newbie Aviva Drescher had made herself more than a few enemies in the women by referring to them as “white trash” and “double dealers.” And though some time has passed, Carole says she was still hesitant to bring the Vassar-educated lady back into her circle.

“Going into this season, I was very open to whatever experience it was going to be,” she says, though she adds, “I was a little wary of Aviva, and that was not an unpopular feeling among the group.”

Now, Carole is no fool. She says she “[gets] that the show needs to make drama, but there’s a certain point where everyone needs to respect everyone else.” And with Aviva, apparently “those lines [were] crossed.”

“I might have an aristocratic last name, but I am all Italian,” Carole quips, turning more serious, “So don’t mess with the things I really care about.”

But what did Aviva do exactly? According to Carole, she made up a “silly lie” about her, which she tried to pass off as industry gossip. “I was hurt by it, really, and then I was angry,” she admits.

So the formerly conflict-free Carole has earned her own share of the signature Housewife drama this year. “You’ll see me scream a little this season,” she teases. “Last season I cried, this season I scream.” But it’s not all bad! “Screaming is completely underrated, I really enjoyed it.”

We can’t wait to see the classy lady take on some of the other women with her mind this season. This is sure to be a good one! In the meantime, we’ll just be perusing our copy of her brand new novel, The Widow’s Guide to Sex & Dating, which she says is the “comedic sequel to the tragedy that was my first book.”

Congrats Carole! Now, is it March yet?

Real Housewives of New York premieres March 11 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
