Lauren Cohan to Star in “Reach Me” With Sylvester Stallone
It looks like we won’t have to wait until sometime in October 2014 to see Lauren Cohan back in action! Though we won’t get to watch her Walking Dead counterpart, Maggie Greene, until Season 5 of the show kicks off sometime in October, we will be able to see Lauren in a new movie called Reach Me, also starring Sylvester Stallone, Kyra Sedgwick, Kevin Connolly and a slew of others when in is released in the U.S. on September 19.
IMDb describes the flick as “A comedy/drama centered on a group of people who all have a connection to a self-help book authored by a reclusive former football coach,” and Lauren described it as an “ensemble rom-com” during a chat with Buzzworthy Radio last year.
It’s “quite a fun who’s who”, she said, referring to the movie’s large, star-studded cast. “[It’s] a really nice story, very different from The Walking Dead, just about a reclusive author and his daughter.” The flick is directed by John Herzfeld, who also wrote the screenplay.
Don’t get us wrong, we love watching Lauren play Maggie on TWD, but it’ll be a nice change of pace to see her in a romantic comedy with a bunch of Hollywood heavyweights, especially since Reach Me is scheduled to be released about a month before Season 5 premieres. Unfortunately we don’t have a trailer for Reach Me just yet, but we’ll post one as soon as it becomes available. Do you plan to check out Lauren’s soon-to-be released romantic comedy? Tell us your plans below!
The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October 2014 on AMC.
