Lauren Conrad might have a to-do list a mile long between her many business ventures — who else do you know that balances a career as a fashion designer with penning her own young adult novel series? — and planning her wedding to fiance William Tell, but it doesn’t mean she’s not making time to keep the romance alive. In fact, Lauren doesn’t see herself as any different from any other working girl.
“It’s just like any other couple with full time jobs,” Lauren told People. “You make date night and you have weekends, hopefully. Not [all] weekends, but some weekends. I’m really fortunate in that I get to do things that I love, so it doesn’t feel like work. I think if you’re doing something you love, it’s not a lot. You’re excited every day.”
Something else Lauren loves to do? Entertain friends at home with Will, which she far prefers to going out.
“We haven’t been to a club together in a very, very long time, if ever,” Lauren admitted. “We probably entertain more than we go out, to be honest. I love just having a couple of people over for dinner. It’s easier for me. I don’t have to wear shoes. Everybody’s happy.”
Sounds like a good time to us! We’d love to be invited over to Lauren’s pad for dinner to discuss things like her upcoming wedding and how we could possibly obtain her entire Paper Crown fashion line for free.
“I like to be the host,” Lauren added. “I tend to be running around the whole time, which is so funny because everyone’s like, ‘Sit down, sit down!’ But that’s my happy place, like clearing plates with one hand and serving a drink with the other. I love being a busy host.”
