Lauryn Hill Brings Daughter Selah on Stage to Sing During Concert (VIDEO)
Is Lauryn Hill preparing daughter Selah Marley for life on the stage?
It’s hardly the case, but it doesn’t stop us from wondering if Lauryn’s giving her eldest daughter a taste of the limelight in this footage from one of Lauryn’s concerts in Melbourne, Australia.
For those of you not familiar with the family, musical talent definitely runs in the genes (especially with Bob Marley as a grandfather) and Lauryn’s 15-year-old daughter has a real knack for singing. And for those of you who’ve missed Selah’s vocal acrobatics on Instagram, you can just get a load of the young songstress as she sings a chorus of her mom’s hit song, “Doo Wop (That Thing),” on stage.
We only get a snippet of the young talent, but it’s pretty evident that the girl’s got a set of pipes! And with mom Lauryn showing her support, we can totally see this gal going places with a singing career — if that’s what she wants.
The crowd seems to enjoy Selah’s rendition of her mom’s hit tune, and the only thing we wish is that we got to hear more of it!
