Lea Michele Says She’s Staying on Glee Until Rachel Is a Senior Citizen (VIDEO)
We know that Glee's next season will (sob!) be its last one ever. But does Lea Michele (Rachel) want to keep portraying Rachel even after the show ends?
During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week, Lea is asked by Ellen if she would really consider playing Rachel in a Glee spinoff. And it sounds like she would. "I come from Broadway, and on Broadway, you stay in a show, and that's it — like, you make it your home," Lea replies.
"I like the schedule [of Glee], I like the routine, and I love Ryan [Murphy], and I love Rachel Berry — so I'll be Rachel, singing in a senior citizen's home for everyone," she quips.
Frankly, we're still having trouble adjust to the fact that we'll eventually have to live in a world without new Glee episodes. So if Lea wants to keep playing Rachel on a spinoff, we're all for it! And it's sweet to hear that Lea is having such a good time on the show that she would be fine continuing to do it for as long as she can.
And by the way, when we're in a retirement home, we would feel quite lucky to have someone as talented as Rachel performing for us!
