Lea Michele’s (Rachel) debut single, “Cannonball,” is here! After weeks of anticipation, the Glee star officially released her solo musical debut track today Tuesday, December 10 — after giving fans a 90 second listen to a preview clip the day before.

"Louder really encompasses my experiences over this past year and my journey as an artist up to this point. There's a lot of emotion, but it's also very encouraging and hopeful — it's about pushing forward and living your life in a way that's louder, stronger, and bolder," Lea said in a statement. "I'm so excited to share this new side of me with my fans."

On December 9, Lea took to Twitter to announce that she now has her own official Tumblr.

Click to the site, and you’re instantly greeted by a photo of Lea’s official album cover for Louder and a first-listen to her single “Cannonball.” Lea’s album cover looks somewhat similar to her “Cannonball” cover artwork, which she released last week. She’s wearing dark black eyeliner and a black outfit. Her brown locks are wet and windblown.

“Cannonball” is a strong and powerful song, focused around a message of believing in yourself. It’s backed by audio enhancements, but not nearly as much as her co-star Naya Rivera’s (Santana) debut single, “Sorry.” Naya’s song is the type you’d dance to at a nightclub, while Lea’s is more power-pop.

Below are the lyrics from Lea’s preview clip.

“Breakdown. Breakdown.

Breakdown. I was scared to death, I was losing my mind.

Breakdown. I couldn’t close my eyes, I was pacing all night.

Woah-oh. I think I found the light at the end of the tunnel.

Woah-oh. I couldn’t find the truth, I was going under.

But I won’t hide inside. I gotta get out, gotta get out.

Lonely inside and light the fuse.

Light it now. Light it now. Light it now.

And now I will start living today.

Today. Today. Today. I close the door.

I got this new beginning and I will fly, will fly, like a cannonball.

Like a cannonball. Like a cannonball. Like a cannonball.

I’ll fly, I’ll fly, I’ll fly, like a cannonball.

Freedom. I was in the dark and then it hit me.

I chose suffering and pain in the falling rain.

I know, I gotta get out into the world again.

But I won’t hide inside. I gotta get out, gotta get out.

Lonely inside and light the fuse.

Light it now. Light it now. Light it now.

And now I will start living today.

Today. Today. Today. I close the door.

I got this new beginning and I will fly, will fly, like a cannonball.

Like a cannonball. Like a cannonball. Like a cannonball.

I’ll fly, I’ll fly, I’ll fly, like a cannonball.

Breakdown. I was scared to death, I was losing my mind.

Breakdown. I gotta get out into the world again.

And now I will start living today.

Today, today I close the door.

I got this new beginning and I will fly, I'll fly. Like a cannonball.”
