We recently learned that Lea Michele (Rachel) stayed at Glee guest star Kate Hudson's home in the immediate aftermath following Cory Monteith's (Finn) shocking death over the summer. Now, Lea talks more about why she was so thankful to Kate for doing that, along with what she feels about rumors that the two didn't get along on the Glee set.
Lea appears on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week and tells Ellen that she didn't understand where the rumors of tension between herself and Kate were coming from. "All of those rumors were so weird, and we even were calling each other, being like, 'This is so crazy,'" Lea says. "It's so unbelievable what people can make up. 90% of the stuff that you read, it's just completely fabricated, most of it."
In fact, Lea is grateful that Kate invited Lea and Lea's family to stay at her home following Cory's death, as Kate was out of town. "And she was so wonderful to basically give me her home to myself and my family," Lea continues. "It was so helpful to just basically have a safe place to process and just have a minute to breathe before getting back to my house, which has a lot of memories and stuff."
"Being someplace else to just have a moment was really nice," she adds. "To have that time at her home to just really be in private with this for a moment before getting back to work and before going home, I'm so thankful to her."
