There may be more celebrities at Coachella than the MTV Movie Awards, Oscars and Grammys combined.

But apparently it was unexpected to see Beyoncé and Jay Z at the 2014 festival — especially when they jumped on stage to join other performers. When the king and queen arrive, you know it's a party! On Saturday night, Beyoncé joined sister Solange's act, and you can see a piece of their choreographed dance in the TMZ video below. Separately, Jay Z joined Nas on stage for part of his performance.

Meanwhile, a lot of celebs were just there to watch the shows. Selena Gomez took a pic with Kendall and Kylie Jenner, while fellow Coachella partier Katy Perry tried to remind everyone that taking selfies is "a disease." Katy met up with buddy Robert Pattinson in the VIP section of the H&M Loves Music party, People noted in its Coachella roundup, and he hung out with his own posse of friends while eating ... Oreos. Why not?

Apparently Katy also spent some time with Lea Michele, since the Glee star shared the pic above of her green-haired friend, writing, "Who's cooler than this lady? @katyperry." Lea spent Saturday lounging at the Lacoste Live Pool party, People noted, and in addition to Katy she was joined by BFF Jonathan Groff, co-starMark Salling, and even Emma Roberts, who was there with fiancé Evan Peters.

According to People's roundup, Dancing With the Stars alum Julianne Hough spent some time talking to Jesse Metcalfe and his fiancé; Jennie Garth was excited to be a first-time attendee; Fergie was heard chatting about her son; Twilight's Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz hung out together; Joe Jonas was there with his girlfriend Blanda Eggenschwiller; Aaron Paul and his impossibly beautiful wife Lauren Parsekian Paul continued to be the cutest couple ever; and Kesha and Steven Tyler were also seen in action.

That's just the tip of the iceberg, but if you want more details head to People's site. Or you can just wait for all of those celebs to share more pics. Not everyone agrees with Katy's tough stand on selfies!

Do you wish you could be in SoCal for the hipster music festival, or are you happy to just observe from afar?
