Lea Michele (Rachel) was not engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Cory Monteith (Finn), at the time of his tragic July 2013 passing, but the Glee star says the two absolutely spoke about spending the rest of their lives together.
"We talked about a lot of things,” Lea tells Glamour UK, via Us Weekly. “We talked about children and what we would look like when we grew old, and who would be fat and how we would stay thin.”
Sure, he hadn’t put a ring on it yet. But it sounds like things were definitely headed in that direction. "We talked about where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do. We were done. We were it."
After Cory’s death, Lea asked songwriter Sia to help her write a song specially about Cory. The result was “If You Say So,” a track on her debut album, Louder, named after the last words he ever spoke to her. (She also had the phrase tattooed on her ribcage, as a permanent reminder of their love.)
"When you're at that place in your life with someone, you talk about everything," Lea tells the mag. "But today I feel like I was given the best part of Cory, and I'm thankful for that."
