Originals Star Leah Pipes Shows Off Engagement Ring and Dishes on Wedding Plans

We already knew that Leah Pipes (Cami) was engaged because she let the cat out of the bag on Twitter last week, but now we’re learning even more details about the man who won her heart and what she’s planning for the big day. The Originals star revealed the details to Us Weekly and even showed off her engagement ring for the first time!

First things first, who’s the lucky guy? You might be surprised to learn that Leah is engaged to former Even Stevens star A.J. Trauth (who played “Twitty” on the beloved Disney Channel show). A.J. and Leah have been dating for two-and-a-half years — but they’ve known each other for much longer.

Check out Us Weekly to see Leah’s engagement bling.

“We’ve known each other since we were teenagers,” Leah, who starred in the Disney Channel’s Pixel Perfect in 2004, told Us. “We both grew up in the entertainment industry. He was actually very close to starring with me in the first movie I did.”

But while they’ve known each other for many years, the two only took their friendship to the next level in the last few years. “I’m so glad we spent years getting to know each other before dating,” Leah gushed. “He’s my best friend.”

How did A.J. propose? “He proposed on Christmas Day,” Leah recalls. “There was a wrapped ring box under the tree… [and] it was empty. He’d been holding the ring behind his back and asked me to marry him. It was the best moment of my life!” Aww, we’re swooning from that adorable story!

What about the ring?! Leah is clearly gushing over the bling, saying, “It’s so understated and elegant. It’s such a wonderful symbol of our love… and it will never go out of style.” We agree! A.J. clearly has good taste because he opted for a princess-cut diamond in a platinum band setting.

So when is the big day? With Leah starring on a hit CW show, she’s strapped for time and hasn’t set a date yet — and she is still trying to figure out where she wants to tie the knot. “I’m hoping to get married in the same church my parents were married,” Leah reveals. “Some friends and family are pushing for a destination wedding in Hawaii, which also sounds very fun.”

Are you surprised that Leah was dating A.J.? What do you think about her ring? Hit the comments and sound off!
