Talking to People, LeAnn said, “We’re doing a TV show based on our reality. We'll take things out of our lives and elaborate them and make them funny. People have been laughing at us — we want them to laugh with us!"
In case anyone forgot, LeAnn and Eddie gained notoriety when the two met filming the Lifetime movie Northern Lights in 2008 and cheated on their respective spouses at the time. Eddie ultimately split with Brandi while LeAnn called it quits with dancer Dean Sheremet, and the two tied the knot in 2011.
Since then, LeAnn has faced her fair share of haters and even entered rehab in 2012 to seek treatment for stress and anxiety.
But with a new album, Spitfire coming out June 4, LeAnn Rimes is in a much better place and welcomes the challenge of showing people a side of her they’ve never seen.
"For some reason, everyone is so interested in our lives but they don't actually know about them," she said. "What they read is what they see. We want to be able to take control of our lives again so we want to do a show about us, about our lives, but scripted."
