Bachelor in Paradise to Be “Like Temptation Island” — More Details on New Show

Obviously, The Bachelorette is the next big thing on the horizon for our viewing pleasure. But after Andi falls in love with the perfect guy (fingers crossed!) comes the real excitement: Bachelor in Paradise, ABC’s new darling, which is still shrouded in mystery.

While the network is keeping things under wraps — possibly because they aren't sure how things will work themselves — an insider apparently rattled off some facts about the show to Life & Style.

With everything about the show’s pace, layout, and cast still hazy, we’re rapt when any info pops up. Says the source, BiP will likely have 20 castmates: 10 guys and 10 girls. Among those in talks are singletons like Bachelorette Season 8’s Kalon McMahon (who recently broke up with his gorgeous girlfriend) and Jef Holm (who has already said he’s in talks), as well as Season 16 winner Courtney Robertson, and Season 17 side-eyer AshLee Frazier. We have plenty of opinions about who should be cast — and it turns out you do, too — but these four are definitely a great start.

The insider also spills that the show will be more like Temptation Island than Bachelor Pad. We had already heard that the stars wouldn’t be competing for cash, so we’re not exactly sure what this means. Mainly, because TI brought couples and singles to an island to see if the coupled up folks would stray. Sounds a little skeezy for Bachelor Nation, but if that’s the road they go down, we’ll watch.

What else do we know about the show? Not a lot, but it premieres right after The Bachelorette ends, so at least we know what we’re doing with our Mondays for the foreseeable future...
