Watch Linkin Park’s Carpool Karaoke Filmed Just Days Before Chester Bennington’s Death (VIDEO)
Chester Bennington was all smiles just days before his tragic suicide.
Chester and his Linkin Park bandmates filmed an episode of "Carpool Karaoke" back in July, the clip of which has just been shared online for the first time.
And we don't know if we should be happy or sad that the singer was grinning from ear to ear the entire time while filming.
As Wetpaint reported, the Linkin Park frontman was found dead in his home on July 20th from apparent suicide.
Shortly after the 41-year-old's untimely passing, it was revealed the band filmed their episode of Apple Music's "Carpool Karaoke" just days before his body was found.
And today, October 12, the band posted the video in its entirety to their official Facebook page in honor of their beloved friend.
“With the blessing of Chester’s family and his bandmates, we share this episode, and dedicate it to the memory of Chester,” reads a title card at the beginning of the clip.
And though it starts off somber, the actual 23-minute video is anything but, as Chester, bandmates Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn, and actor Ken Jeong, sitting shotgun, have a blast.
The foursome belt out some of the rock band's most famous tunes, from "Numb" to "In the End," as well as other hits from Red Hot Chili Peppers and Outkast.
But it's one line in particular that's the most chilling.
“This is probably the greatest day of my life,” Chester says after comedian Ken attempts his best Linkin Park impression.
This video is just one way fans and friends are honoring the dad of six's legacy.
Shortly after his death, memorials were held worldwide for Chester, and plenty of fellow musicians paid their respects.
In addition, the remaining members of Linkin Park, along with some surprise guests, will be performing on October 27 in Los Angeles in his honor.
All proceeds from the concert will go to charity.
Linkin Park announce a special show in honor of Chester. The one-night-only celebration will take place in Los Angeles at the legendary Hollywood Bowl on Friday, October 27, 2017. The band will be joined by a number of other artists, for an unforgettable night of music to honor the man that touched the lives of so many around the world.
