Plenty of people aren't feeling particularly enthused about the current U.S. government shutdown. And now, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump and Vanderpump Rules' Jax Taylor are adding their two cents.
Lisa took to Twitter on October 14 to say that she's worried for government workers who currently aren't working. "Most people working for me couldn't afford to work for 14 day without pay, yet this is what's happening to THOUSANDS!" Lisa writes. "Yet Congress still paid."
Then, when a Twitter follower tells Lisa that government workers will be paid retroactively when the government shutdown ends, Lisa responds, "Oh, yes, great — what do they do in the meantime?"
Jax is also concerned about the shutdown, but for a different reason."Our government needs to get back to work...," Jax tweets on October 14. "The market is going to crash."
"Who thinks the market is gonna crash by next week???" he adds.
So what do you think about Lisa and Jax weighing in on the shutdown? Should they avoid getting political, or do they raise some good points?
We're more used to Lisa and Jax engaging in drama with their reality-show co-stars rather than delving into real-world situations. Indeed, regardless of their take on the job Congress is doing, what we're excited for is the start of the new seasons of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules, which both return on Bravo on November 4.
