After getting bombarded by hate from her co-stars on the latest season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the struggle is still very much real for Lisa Vanderpump. In a surprising conclusion to the Villa Blanca sexual harassment case, the Brit’s restaurant is being ordered to pay up $100K to Karina Bustillos, a former waitress who claims she was mistreated in the workplace.

Karina — who claims she was mishandled by a Villa Blanca manager who also called her foul names and made sexual advances — was awarded the punitive damages by an L.A. jury, TMZ reported yesterday. What’s a little strange, though, is that the jury didn’t hold the manager accountable but is slamming the restaurant (ergo Lisa) in this verdict instead.

If you think Lisa is going to let this happen without speaking up, you’re sorely mistaken. “We are in absolute shock at the amount of punitive damages that were awarded,” Lisa’s attorney told the site. “Especially in light of nominal compensatory damages awarded and the lack of sufficient evidence. We plan to immediately file an appeal and are confident that we will prevail.”

Even Lisa herself took to Twitter to let her voice be heard, tweeting, “Hard to comprehend how my manager is totally innocent but vb gets damages against them for something that didn't happen. Losing faith.”

We can certainly understand Lisa’s frustration — it is a little odd that the manager (who is alleged to have sexually harassed Karina) will walk free while the restaurant gets nailed with this $100K blunder. If the jury believed the story, you would think the manager would be held accountable, so we’re still scratching our head wondering why Lisa and Villa Blanca are at fault.

What do you think needs to happen in this case? Should Lisa and Villa Blanca have to pay the $100K? Hit the comments and sound off!
