The Voice 2013 Live Rounds, Week 1: Who’s Going Home?
Ugh, we hate this part. On Thursday night, eight of the top 20 contestants on The Voice will go home. While we can’t be certain who, we do have a few clues: the contestants’ iTunes rankings and where your votes fell in our polls.
Sadly, one member of Team Adam didn’t even chart. Grey’s cover of “Still into You” failed to break the top 300, and she’s likely in danger of elimination.
As for our poll results, you guys were definitely feeling Team Adam in a big way, with Tessanne and James earning over 60% of the vote. You also liked Cole, Ray, and Austin from Team Blake.
Night 2 - Teams Cee Lo and Christina
The second night garnered much better results, with three contestants breaking into the top 20 on the iTunes charts: Caroline Pennell from Team Cee Lo nabbed the #11 spot with Jacquie Lee of Team Christina close at her heels at #12. Matthew Schuler also on Team XTina, ranked 15th. The bad news? The remaining contestants didn’t even break into the top 100. And, like Grey on night one, Amber Nicole failed to break the Top 300.
In our poll, you guys went nuts for Jacquie with a whopping 41% of you calling her performance your favorite. Matthew had her heels. Team Cee Lo didn’t seem to stand out to you, with the exception of indie darling Caroline, who came in third overall for the night.
Based on iTunes rankings and our poll results, here are our predictions for who’s safe and who’s up for elimination:
Jacquie Lee: SAFE Matthew Schuler: SAFE Josh Logan: IN DANGER Olivia Henken: IN DANGER Stephanie Anne Johnson: IN DANGER
