Why Didn’t Lizzie Rovsek Bring RHOC to Kentucky This Season? — Exclusive

The best part about a new addition to any reality show is getting to know everything about them — and we mean everything. While we got to know Lizzie Rovsek and her family on a surface level during Season 9 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, the one thing we didn’t get to see was her and her co-stars vacation in her home state of Kentucky.

Speaking exclusively to Wetpaint Entertainment, Lizzie revealed that Bravo had originally planned on having the ladies — Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Barney, Heather Dubrow, and Shannon Beador — head to the Bluegrass State but plans fell through.

“We planned to take everyone to Kentucky because I was judging the Miss Kentucky Pageant and Sun Kitten Swimwear was sponsoring it,” Lizzie began. “What happened was the pageant was at an all-girls Catholic school and the head nun did not approve of the show. We did everything we could to talk to this nun and make things OK. We had everything set up to film — we were going to do a bourbon tasting and the whole shebang.”

It sounds like we missed out on a fun adventure! Luckily the ladies went to Bali this season, but it sure would have been nice to see them head to Kentucky to experience the South. There’s no word yet on whether or not Lizzie will be back next season, but we’re crossing our fingers for a chance to see where the brunette beauty is from.

“Hopefully, if things go well, we’ll be doing a Kentucky trip next season,” Lizzie continued. “It’s safe to say the Catholic Church does not want their girls to grow up to be Housewives. I don’t know why!”

Are you surprised Bravo wasn’t allowed to film at a Catholic school? Do you want Lizzie to return next season and take us to Kentucky? Hit the comments and sound off!

The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
