Lizzie sat down with Wetpaint Entertainment and dished about fellow RHOC stars Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Barney, and Shannon Beador. Her first impressions of the three ladies were all over the spectrum, but everything changed during the season. Want to know how these friendships are standing after the “below the belt” reunion? Read on to find out!
Wetpaint Entertainment: You came in a little late in the season — do you think that helped or hurt you?
Lizzie Rovsek: I think it was a little hard for me, coming in a little bit later in the game because they already had their relationships established and Shannon was already in with the girls. I kind of came in when there were already some rifts that I was privy to, and so I had to play a little catch-up with everybody.
I was happy to have Danielle with me, she’s my very good friend and I love her very much, so we have a lot of fun together.
You and Vicki Gunvalson didn’t exactly hit it off at first, but what’s your relationship with her today?
I love Vicki. I think she’s a great person and I think she’s got a big heart and she’s a loyal friend. She was testing her ground with me, seeing how strong I was as a woman if I could fit into this group or handle what it takes to be a Housewife. She did give me a hard time — there’s a couple other bumps that come up — but by the end you’ll see that Vicki and I are on really good terms and I really like her.
Vicki’s given me some great advice outside of the show about the show, and about myself. She’s just a good person. She’s the OG! If the OG likes you, you’re OK, right?
You seemed to gel with Tamra at first, but that’s definitely not the case now. Have you learned anything watching her have a rough season?
I feel like she puts herself in those positions. You know, you make your bed, you’ve got to lie in it. Although she’ll say otherwise, I liked Tamra a lot — she was very likable — but that certainly changes by the end.
Was there any camaraderie between you and Shannon since you were the two new girls?
Shannon started already being great with Vicki and I warmed up to Heather really quickly. I had hung out with Shannon a little bit, but, in the beginning, had not invested the time to be Shannon’s friend — and neither did she with me.
It’s not until we bond — and not over the best things — that we start our relationship a little late in the game. But I really like Shannon, I think she’s a great person, an honest person, and I look up to her.
