Pretty Little Liars Logic Fails: Season 5, Episode 6 — “Thrown From the Ride”
No one has ever said Rosewood is an ordinary town; that's part of what we love about it. Pretty Little Liars takes place in a hyper-stylized, crazy world where death is around every corner and teens always dress like New York fashion models. That said, sometimes the show still makes us stop and sayHold on a second...
Sometimes it's something in the writing that doesn't make sense, and (more often) it's that we want to reach through our TVs and smack the characters upside the head for making bad choices. Here are the top logic fails and WTF moments that had us scratching our heads during Season 5, Episode 6 (“Run, Ali, Run”).
Ali hangs out in her house alone. How did this girl survive for years on the run? Once she realized no one was home, she should have turned around and left ASAP. Or at least grabbed a knife to carry around with her.
Where is Caleb living? No, seriously. He is still a minor, right? How is he just chilling wherever he wants? We realize this is an ongoing problem with his story, but it's getting kind of ridiculous. Also, is he even going to school anymore? What is his life, basically.
Tanner gives Ali some help. Tanner is a toughened cop who knows what she's doing, so we found it surprising when she gave Ali a clue about exactly how detailed the cops' questions were by saying that she wanted to know specifically where in Philly Ali and the Liars had been. She's clearly very suspicious of Ali; why say anything that will help her craft a better lie?
Ali didn't have more details about her cover story. That said, it's also a major fail on Ali's part that apparently her entire cover story was "we were in Philly," with no extra details. Again, how exactly did she survive on her own for so long?
