Pretty Little Liars Logic Fails: Season 4 Summer Finale — “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t”

We all know the Liars exist in a heightened universe, full of murder, stalkers, and dark secrets. Rosewood ain't your normal small town, and that's part of the fun. Even with that in mind, there are occasionally moments on Pretty Little Liars that make us stop and say, "Really?" Sometimes it's something that doesn't make sense from the writers, and, more often, it's just that we want to reach through our TVs and smack the characters upside the head for making bad choices.

Here are our picks of the biggest logic fails and most WTF moments from Season 4, Episode 12: “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t.”

Emily's kidnapping. We know the Liars were distracted by Aria onstage, but how exactly did "A" manage to make off with Emily without A) her making a sound, or B) anyone noticing or saying something? Sure, the people in Ravenswood aren't a chatty bunch, but would they all really sit back and let a girl get dragged away?

"A"'s Evil Villain Superlair. OK. "A" being everywhere all the time always did seem improbable, but "A" somehow having a Bond villain style lair complete with a crazy spy computer setup that allows him to spy on everything all over Rosewood seems a little over the top, even for this show. Whatever, we'll roll with it.

Ms. Grunwald's second sight. We know Ravenswood is going to have a supernatural element to it, but to be honest, we're really not thrilled that Ali's rescue apparently comes down to Ms. Grunwald having a seemingly magical intuition that she was in trouble. We're excited about Ali possibly being alive, but we wish it had happened differently.
