Pretty Little Liars Logic Fails: Season 5, Episode 8 — “Scream for Me”

Pretty Little Liars takes place in a hyper-stylized, crazy world where death is around every corner and teens always dress like New York fashion models. No one has ever called Rosewood the real world, and we wouldn't have it any other way. That said, sometimes the show still makes us stop and say Hold on a second.

Sometimes it's something in the writing that doesn't make sense, and (more often) it's that we want to reach through our TVs and smack the characters upside the head for making bad choices. Here are the top logic fails and WTF moments that had us scratching our heads during Season 5, Episode 8 (“Scream For Me”).

Tanner integrating Ali at school. Um... Don't the cops need Ali's dad to be around when they question her? We feel like that has been a plot point in the past. So why could Tanner just pull her into a random schoolroom this week?

That whole assistant coach plot. Wait, the swim team just voted on making Emily the assistant coach without, like, asking her if she wanted to do it? We guess we could see a bunch of teens thinking that was a good idea, but we feel like the real coach would have shut it down and approached Em first. Also, is she allowed to be an assistant coach with no actual training?

Hanna ripping up Zack's number. We get it; Hanna was upset and acted impulsively. But she really should have kept Zack's number as proof that he was being a total sketchball.

Actually, everything Zack did. Listen, we get that there are people in the world who are this sketchy and stupid. But really Zack? Of all the people to try to cheat on your fiancee with, you chose her teenaged daughter's friend? That can only end badly.
