Lost’s Josh Holloway “Would Love” to Play Han Solo in New Star Wars Movie
Which scoundrel has the right sexy smirk to be the new Han Solo? Paging Dr. Freckles!
Lost co-creator J.J. Abrams will be directing Star Wars: Episode VII, and even though we haven't seen a casting call out for a 40-something Han Solo, one Lost alum is up for the challenge.
"Yeah, sure, I would love that,” Josh Holloway, 43, aka Sawyer, told E! News. “It'd be a blast. I'd love to do that." Josh actually has a movie coming out with the original Han Solo, Harrison Ford, who is now 70; Paranoia will be released in August. "He's great,” Josh said of Ford. “I worked with him recently and had to arrest him and lock him up and shove him in car. I was like, 'I'm arresting Han Solo!" Maybe he can return the favor someday.
Disney is reportedly planning to do a young Han Solo saga, but that would require a lead actor even younger than Harrison Ford was (35) when he made the original Star Wars film, so Josh might be too old for that project. But what do you think about the possibility of Josh taking on the role of Han, either in Episode VII or a spinoff? Great casting or blasphemy to even consider a new Han?
