Dancing With the Stars 2013: Louis Van Amstel Thinks “There Is No Bad Winner” — Exclusive!
Dancing With the StarsSeason 16 has rushed by. It's already time for the finale tonight (May 20), where the final four — Aly Raisman, Jacoby Jones, Kellie Pickler, and Zendaya Coleman — will battle it out for the coveted Mirror Ball trophy.
Wetpaint Entertainment recently had a chance to chat with longtime pro Louis van Amstel, who weighed in on why he thinks any of the final four could walk away with the top prize.
"I said the entire season, it's going to be between Kellie and Zendaya, but after the last two weeks, I don't think it's that clearly them two anymore," he admitted. "Jacoby has gone above and beyond, and I must say, Aly Raisman, she has picked up momentum."
That said, Louis did say that if he had to pick a winner, it would still be between Kellie and Zendaya, because "they have pretty much performed amazingly the entire season," whereas "Jacoby lost a little steam in the middle, went back up," and Aly didn't really pick up steam until near the end of the season.
That said, Louis thinks the Freestyle will be a major factor, as it always is. And each dancer brings something to the table. Jacoby has a big entertainment factor, "and he's not bad either. It's not just the entertainment." Aly has the forward momentum that could create amazing things at the end. "Kellie, the quality of the dancing is amazing. And Zendaya brings a little bit of quality, a little bit of entertainment, a little bit of everything."
"From these four, there is no bad winner," Louis concluded. "That's the exciting part. And of course, [each star's] fans are going to kill the other three. But from a professional point of view, there will not be a bad winner."
