Love and Hip Hop’s newcomer Amina Buddafly may be at the center of the controversial love triangle including herself, husband Peter Gunz, and Peter’s (ex)girlfriend, Tara Wallace, but she’s not letting the drama stop her dreams of moving forward with her musical career. In fact, the German songstress just released the music video for her solo single, “Don’t Wanna Be Right.”
In the video, Amina showcases her vocals in front of various domestic and studio backdrops. Peter even makes a shirtless cameo as his lady croons in his ear towards the end of the vid!
If the song sounds familiar to you, that’s because we heard Amina serenade Peter with an acoustic version of the song moments before surprising him with a matching wedding band in a recent episode of Love & Hip Hop.
We have to admit that the song is pretty catchy and Amina does have some talent. After all, she and her sisters, Jazz Buddafly (her twin), and Sophie, were in the group Black Buddafly and the ladies gave us the summer hit, “Rock-A-Bye” in 2005.
While we may like the songs, there are others out there who may not be too accepting of it — especially since the lyrics are pretty reminiscent of her relationship with Peter, which is currently being seen on Love & Hip Hop.
Hopefully people will be able to see Amina as an artist that she truly is!
