There’s absolutely no doubt the one of the messier story lines on Love & Hip Hop Season 4 is the love triangle between Erica Mena, her ex-boyfriend/manager Rich Dollaz, and her new girlfriend Cyn Santana. While Rich may be convinced that Erica and Cyn are just having a little fling, the ladies recently admitted to being “very much in love” during a radio interview with Hot 97.
Radio personalities Rosenberg and Ebro asked the ladies a slew of questions including if they love each other (to which Cyn answered “that’s been established”) and whether or not they’d consider getting married. Erica told the radio hosts that she’d definitely consider marrying Cyn, adding, “In Jersey. All we gotta do is go to Jersey,” with Cyn chiming in, “it has to be legal.”
While we might think this is pretty sweet, radio hosts Rosenberg and Ebro weren’t convinced — especially since moments before the ladies declared that they were not lesbians. When they were questioned about wanting a same-sex marriage without considering themselves lesbians, Erica and Cyn replied, “Why not? You guys are putting a label on it. You see, I hate that.” Erica later added that, “once they put you in a label or category, it just haunts you. It’s annoying.”
The couple was also questioned about the authenticity of their relationship, as many fans of the show — including Hot 97 host Ebro — believe Erica and Cyn’s relationship is mainly for publicity purposes. Their response?
“Absolutely [people doubt us] until they get around us and see how we’re into each other. We have a lot of our ‘us moments’ in this crazy… you know, and I’ve been to a room where we walk in and get the side eye and then you know we’re just among ourselves and when we leave they’re like ‘you’re guys are so in love, I see it in your eyes!’” Erica later added that, “I’ll put it like this — Mona don’t pay me enough to play up a whole relationship.”
Guess that answers everything!
