On Monday night’s episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 3 (“The Past, My Ass”), Benzino dropped the bomb on his long-time friend, Stevie J., that he was thinking about proposing to his new (at-the-time) girlfriend, Althea Heart. Stevie questioned Zino whether he thought the relationship was on marriage status and Zino said definitely. However, in this clip that didn’t make it to air, Benzino doesn’t seem so sure…
“I feel like I’m not being nurtured, and it’s like nurture comes with appreciation. Nurture is appreciation’s cousin,” Benzino confides in best friend Stevie. When Stevie goes on to ask Zino Grigio what he’s really missing, the Boston rapper says, “I just feel like I don’t know if she really appreciates me.”
In the beginning of the clip, Benzino talks about how he’s helped Althea push forward with her singer career, found her producers, music, and all other things of that avenue because he loves her, not because he expects to profit from it himself. However, he would like to see Althea show a little gratitude for what he’s done. When the two talk about his feelings, he says “it gets into an argument and I go from zero to 60,” but at the end of the day, Zino still loves her.
Switching gears, Stevie talks over his marriage woes with “wife” Joseline Hernandez, saying that he’s happy to be married because he’s “tired of being lonely, but at the end of the day, I want to be happy.”
Hmm… the end of Monday night’s episode saw Stevie and Joseline deciding to take some time from each other. Will their relationship suffer? Guess we’ll have to tune in next Monday to find out!
Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 3 airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET on VH1.
