As the old saying goes, “the truth shall set you free,” and in the case of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Mimi Faust, she may finally put tons of fans’ questions about her sex tape to rest.
The reality star received tons of criticism over the release of her “leaked” sex tape with boyfriend Nikko, which fans and co-stars both argued wasn’t a sex tape, but a staged porno. Season 3 has been following Mimi as she’s handled the fallout over it and finally she’s ready to tell the truth about the sex tape.
In the new clip from Monday night’s upcoming episode, Mimi dishes that her sex tape isn’t all that it seems.
When Mimi’s friend Ariane questions Mimi about the production value of her romp with Nikko, Mimi replies, “The initial tape was homemade,” prompting Ariane to ask if there was more than one tape. Mimi replies that she indeed shoot more footage with Nikko, clarifying, “the company said we don’t have enough footage because it has to be a certain amount of footage to sell.”
So there you have it folks — the mystery of perfect lighting and camera angles has been solved!
And just why didn’t Mimi tell us all that she filmed a second portion of her tape with more help than she let on? “Because I didn’t feel like I needed to divulge that from the beginning,” she said. Co-star Erica Dixon isn’t feeling her response, and tells Mimi “that’s a lie,” and we’re left wondering how this will all impact Mimi’s initial “leaked tape” story…
A new episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 3 airs Monday, August 11 at 8 p.m. on VH1.
