Who would’ve guessed that reality TV stars Yandy Smith and Melyssa Ford would combine forces, right? Well, it looks like the Love & Hip Hop entrepreneur and the Blood, Sweat, and Heels real estate agent are teaming up for a new, very interesting show.

First things first: Don’t expect a reality TV series. That’s right, guys. These ladies are getting into the business of theater — musical theater to be precise.

According to, Melyssa is bringing her talents to the stage in the upcoming musical comedy, For Vixens Who’ve Considered Homicide When the Video Was Too Much, which is being produced by our girl Yandy. Written by Obie Award-winning playwright and actor J. Kyle Manzay, For Vixens is a satirical “story of the glamorously raw lifestyle, politics, scandals, and internal struggles one young woman encounters while [on] her aspiring journey to becoming a music video vixen.”

“Not only does this theatrical experience feel like my most tangible professional endeavor, it has also provided an overwhelming sense of creative validation within me. I am proud of this work,” said Melyssa, who also helped conceptualize the show with alongside J. Kyle.

For Vixens Who’ve Considered Homicide When the Video Was Too Much premieres in New York City on August 18 and will run until August 24.
