Benzino and his fianceé, Althea Heart, have been at the center of quite a bit of drama on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 3, especially because of Althea’s past. It’s been revealed that Althea once dated Mimi Faust’s boyfriend, Nikko, and even had a fling with Benzino’s (at-the-time) best friend Stevie J., but it doesn’t worry Zino. In fact, Zino says that Althea’s fling was a mistake.
“You know Althea kept it 100 from day one,” Zino tells Love & Hip Hop Atlanta co-executive producer Stefan Springman. Benzino goes on to say, “The way the show made it looks like, she’s a ho, but her and Nikko went to high school 16 years ago and Stevie was a mistake. Clearly a mistake.”
According to Benzino, Stevie “gassed her head up, like with Joseline …” promising Althea, who had been signed to Def Jam records, success with her singing career, but Zino as “but he was using her, or trying to use her, but once she found she was like ‘nah.’”
Despite it all, Althea’s past hasn’t changed the way that Benzino felt and continues to feel about her.
“When I met her, I was like ‘damn.’ I fell in love with her. We had so many things that clicked and I respected so many things about her and since I’ve been with her, she’s been the most loyal person I’ve ever been with,” he said. Furthermore, Benzino thinks that no one has the right to talk about what Althea’s confessed to — including his ex Karlie Redd or Stevie’s ex (and sex tape star), Mimi Faust.
“How can Karlie Redd call anybody out?” Benzino questions, later adding. “They can’t even touch her.”Source: VH1
