Luann Reveals Why She Filed For Divorce in Andy Cohen Interview Sneak Peek (VIDEO)
Luann de Lesseps is ready to spill the tea on her relationship with ex-husband Tom D’Agostino after just seven months of marriage.
In a sneak peek from the interview, which is set to air Wednesday, September 6, the Bravolebrity reveals what was the final straw when it came to their marriage.
"It was the weekend before the reunion, basically,” she tells the Watch What Happens Live host.
“Tom went out and he called up an old girlfriend, and they met up with a group of people — and I didn't know about it.”
She continues, “I found out about it the next day in the press. So that, for me, was like the final straw. I was like, 'I can't do this anymore.'"
The 52-year-old also dishes on the rumors she slapped Tom in July after a disagreement at a restaurant in New York.
"I didn't slap him. What I did was grab his face. It was in the heat of the moment, you know?” she shares.
“I was hurt about something, so I wanted his attention. So I grabbed his face. It wasn't really a slap."
Following the incident earlier this summer, the mother of two vehemently defended her relationship with the 50-year-old.
"What couple doesn't have lovers' quarrels? Tom and I are very passionate and very much in love with each other and things happen," she said to E! News.
"Unfortunately we are very much public people and so everybody likes to talk about it. From the Housewives to the restaurant, it's very hard to keep privacy."
She continued, "It was more of a tap than a slap. It was a lovers' quarrel. I think all couples go through these things."
Though she tried hard to make their relationship work, Lu ultimately announced their decision to divorce on Twitter just weeks later.
“It's with great sadness that Tom & I agreed to divorce. We care for each other very much, hope you respect our privacy during this sad time!” she wrote on August 3.
Though the pair — who married on New Year’s Eve 2016 — seemed happy in their relationship, sources revealed Tom wasn’t ready to give up his single life.
"He wanted to live his bachelor's life too. He's never been married. She wanted a marriage, he wanted a part-time marriage,” a source told E! News.
