Lucy Hale and Ian Harding’s Real-Life Relationship — What Is It Like?

Aria and Ezra are one of Pretty Little Liars’ most beloved couples. And while the two may be going through a rough patch — with Ezra being "A" and Aria on the verge of finding out — we hope there's a way for Ezria to work things out. After all, show creator Marlene King did say they were "endgame." But what is the relationship like Ian Harding and Lucy Hale, the actors behind these star-crossed lovebirds?

We’re always curious about the real-life dynamics between the stars, but there’s only so much one can glean from interviews and Twitter chatter...which is why it’s so helpful to get Marlene King’s insight. On August 23, the PLL showrunner took a moment to answer a fan question about what Ian and Lucy are like together on set.

“They are very playful w each other. Always teasing,” Marlene tweeted in response to a fan question back in August. We knew it! You can’t fake that kind of chemistry.

There’s plenty of evidence to back up Marlene’s good word. Last month, Luce posted a vid of Ian singing to her on set, complete with mock annoyance with her co-star’s serenade. In June, the PLLershared an adorable video of what happened when Ian tried Lucy’s iced soy latte with two Splendas. In April, Ian posted a throwback photo of he and Lucy, reminding us that these two have been goofing off behind-the-scenes since the beginning!

Lucy and Ian haven’t had as much opportunity for on-set shenanigans as of late, given that Aria has been exploring things with martial arts hottie, Jake. But we think that may be changing soon! In a recent interview, Lucy admitted that Aria still loves Ezra. Do we sense a reconciliation in the near future? For real-life teasing’s sake, we hope so!

Do you love Ian and Lucy’s real-life dynamic as much as we do? Sound off in the comments below!
