‘Riverdale’ Fans Spur Lucy Hale Casting Rumors After Instagram Post Tease
Pretty Little Liars is officially over and we can’t even… but there’s hope for diehard fans.
Read on for the full scoop!
Lucy has a bit more time on her hands now that PLL has wrapped — though she's currently filming her new CW series, Life Sentence. But it looks like she may find herself on another CW set soon!
A suspicious social media comment has fans dying to see Lucy show up in the mysterious town of Riverdale.
Cheryl Blossom actress Madelaine Petsch posted an Instagram photo of herself and her fellow River Vixens.
Fans immediately fell in love with every last detail of the pic.
Commenters gushed over Madelaine’s lemon socks, Josie’s apparent status as the latest Riverdale cheerleader, and their self-identification with the girl adorably posing in the background.
But then this happened...
Lucy commented that she wished she were present in the photo and everyone was forced to agree that the 28-year-old actress turning River Vixen would be love.
Madelaine reassured Lucy they would recreate the shoot when the PLL alum arrived.
Wait — arrived where? On the Riverdale set? We’re dying.
A recently leaked audition tape hints at the arrival of comic book character Toni Topaz.
Other rumors have debated the possible arrivals of Sabrina Spellman and Jughead’s kid sister, Jellybean.
Neither Jellybean or Toni Topaz would make good candidates for the River Vixens — and The Descendants’ Dove Cameron has already been linked to Sabrina.
Could there be another surprise character headed our way?
It would be convenient, considering the show is taping in Vancouver, just like the new series Lucy is currently filming.
Sharing a network and filming location with the Riverdale cast would make it awfully convenient for Lucy to pop in for a guest role from time to time.
Let’s make this happen, guys!
Riverdale returns Wednesday, October 11 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
