With Pretty Little Liars about to start its fifth season, there has been much talk about just how long the teen suspense drama can go on. The Liars have to graduate from high school eventually, right? Well, Lucy Hale for one thinks that Pretty Little Liars has a “a few more seasons” left in it. What else did she have to tell Billboard about the show’s future and her future after the show?

“I think it still's got a little momentum in it,” Lucy said of Pretty Little Liars, which will reach the 100th-episode mark in five episodes. “Who knows? I'm just riding the wave, seeing where it goes. I think it has a couple more seasons, probably.” We think PLL may be safe through Season 6. Showrunner Marlene King has said that she would like to go into a sixth season, as long as the fans and ABC Family support it, which especially the former would be crazy not to do. Past that, we’re not so sure. We can’t imagine the stars of the show sticking around forever. As evidenced by the debut country album Lucy is about to launch, these young women have other creative projects they want to do and the intense Pretty Little Liars filming schedule only gives them so much time off.

So, what will Lucy do when PLL ends: “Music is my main focus right now. I think when the show ends, I'll focus on my music for a while. I don't think I'll abandon acting because I really do enjoy it.” That’s good to hear. As eager as we are to hear and support Lucy’s musical career, we would be sad to see her leave the acting arena altogether. TV musical, anyone?

Pretty Little Liars Season 5 premiere on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
