Luke Bigham, Child Star From Talladega Nights, Arrested for Reckless Driving After Car Crash
Here's one of those stories that you just can't make up: One of the stars of the Will Ferrell driving movie Talladega Nights has been arrested... for bad driving.
Luke Bigham, who played the ten-year-old version of Will's character, Ricky Bobby, in the film, was arrested this week for reckless driving, according to TMZ.
Luke allegedly caused a five-car pileup in Alabama on June 4 when he crashed his Lexus after driving 80 mph in a 35-mph zone. Police issued a warrant for his arrest, and so the next day, Luke turned himself in to face the misdemeanor charge. He was reportedly processed and then released.
The actor co-starred in the hit 2006 comedy Talladega Nights, during which he appears in flashback scenes with a younger version of John C. Reilly's character Cal. The film made $162 million worldwide during its theatrical run. He has had limited acting work since then. In 2009, Luke appeared in two episodes of the HBO sitcom Eastbound and Down, which Will Ferrell produced.
We're hoping Luke has learned his lesson and now does less shaking and baking when he's driving.
What are your thoughts on Luke's arrest? And are you surprised that he hasn't had more acting work recently?
