Teen Mom OG’s Maci Bookout Is Considering Adopting More Kids One Day

Maci Bookout has said time and time again she and her husband, Taylor McKinney, are done having kids.

Let’s not forget she had her two youngest children, Jayde and Maverick, just one year and two days apart!

But now, the Teen Mom OG star is kinda going back on her word a little bit, admitting she’d still be open to expanding her family… just not in the traditional way.

The 25-year-old reveals that though she and her hubby are more than done having biological kids because she didn’t love being pregnant, they’re not opposed to adoption.

“We both have talked about adoption or fostering in the future, down the road,” the mom of three tells People while promoting TMOG Season 6B.

“For both of us, it’s one of those things where if we are capable of providing a stable home, healthy relationships and some hope for a child who may not have that or ever experienced it, then we want to.”

And her reasoning is amazing.

“If we are able to do that then why would we not?” Maci, who’s also parent to 8-year-old Bentley with Ryan Edwards, adds.

“Plus, I think introducing our children to something like that and giving them that experience and for our other child to be able to have a sibling or healthy relationships with other children … all kids deserve that. If we can give it to them then why wouldn’t we?”

And if you’re thinking Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra, Maci’s co-stars who placed their first child, Carly, up for adoption in 2009, have impacted this decision, you’d be correct.

“Watching Catelynn and Tyler’s story and seeing them be so strong and selfless to make that decision for Carly, and to see how proud they were to be able to give something like that to your daughter [helped],” she concludes.

“If we are able to do that, then we should.”

We guess there’s some kind of adoption bug over in the OG water, as Farrah Abraham has expressed interest in adopting a little brother or sister for Sophia one day, too.

"We're open to adopting someone who's not just – a child that can not just only be a newborn. But also a child that is maybe 3 or older," Farrah told People Now last March.

“There's a lot of, you know, orphans that are so adorable. So, I mean, it just breaks my heart when I see things like that because I grew up around adoptive families and I've always wanted to help. So it's just a time and a place and hopefully soon I will be ready."

Cate, meanwhile, is probably flattered her co-stars are inspired by adoption, but wants to go the opposite route and give her 2-year-old daughter, Nova, another biological sibling.

This year there will have been three Teen Mom 2 babies born in just a matter of months, and at this rate it looks like the OGs aren’t too far behind!

Do you think Maci and Taylor should adopt a fourth (or fifth!) child or stick with their three kids and two dogs? What about Farrah? Tell us your thoughts below.

Teen Mom OG returns Monday, April 17 at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
