Teen Mom 3's Mackenzie Douthit gave birth to a happy and healthy baby girl on February 7 (oh hay, Jaxie!), but her labor and delivery weren't drama-free. Not even close. This Southern belle's blood sugar dramatically dipped just days before she gave birth, prompting a quick hospitalization and the decision to undergo a C-section three weeks before her due date.We can't imagine how scared Mackenzie must have been knowing that her baby was three weeks premature and that her blood sugar could bottom out during surgery, but luckily her mom and husband were right by her side.
As we all know, Mackenzie is an extremely religious gal and she prays to the Teen Mom 3 gods (and actual God) on the regular. So what did she do before going in for surgery? Get her prayer on, natch — and her mom and husband were right beside her.
Check out this picture of Mackenzie's man, Josh McKee, and her mom, Angie Douthit, praying over her baby bump moments before surgery. Mackenzie shared the emotional photo with her fans on Instagram, along with the caption, "What a beautiful moment. My two best friends in life laying their hands on me to pray right before surgery. #husband #mommy."
Clearly Josh and Angie's prayers worked, because Mackenzie's C-section went off without a hitch and baby Jaxie is just as adorable as she is healthy. Phew!
