Score two for Kate Middleton on their trip down under. First, Kate bested husband Prince William at a yacht race, and now, she’s winning the award for the best zinger ever, according to People.
During the Sydney Royal Easter Show — a huge annual agricultural event — Will and Kate were introduced to one of the cutest livestock animals ever: An alpaca. And the furry animal happened to remind Kate of something.
“The prince was interested in the alpaca, and as I showed it to them, the princess said he should put it on his head,” Lyn Crejan, the show’s exhibitor, said. “She said, ‘You need it more than me,’ and pointed to his head, and he laughed.”
Who knew the Duchess of Cambridge was actually the Duchess of Sass? As if we couldn’t love her any more than we already do.
Later, Kate checked out the photo display and chatted with Alison Renwick, the former chair of arts and crafts at the event, about her love for art.
“She was very interested in the crochet and was brought up by her family and grandmother in particular to appreciate crafts,” Alison said. “Her passion is photography, and she likes painting and drawing. I asked her if she still found the time to do it and she said, ‘Not very much.’”
Maybe once baby George gets a little older, she’ll be able to spend more time doing the hobbies that she loves. And, at that point, George will be able to join Kate and Harry in mocking his dad’s ever balding head.
