Slow down, ladies! Line forms on the left.
It's too bad Maksim Chmerkovskiy already tried being the Bachelor (without much success) since he's really just now at the point in his life where he's ready for the whole wife and kids thing.
Maks, 34, just won Dancing With the Stars with Meryl Davis, who wouldn't be a bad choice for a life partner, even if she and Maks are not dating. Maks's last (known) girlfriend was model Kate Upton, who just turned 22 about two weeks ago and doesn't seem poised to enter wife/kids mode. Before that, Maks dated fellow DWTS pro Peta Murgatroyd and previous to her he was engaged to pro Karina Smirnoff.
Maks recently talked to Social Life magazine (via Us Weekly) about his own biological clock starting to chime. "I raised so many children at the studio that I am ready to create one of my own," Maks said. "I am really ready to have a family now. I need an outlet. I have so much I want to give, and I need someone to give it to."
Well! How many hands just went up to volunteer as tribute?
Maks probably wouldn't have any trouble finding a ready partner, but that's not the same as finding The One. He's been talking about this plan for a while now. Back in June 2012, he told OK! Magazine, “I would love to be a dad. For the longest time, I’ve wanted kids, but you have to have the right setup, right? I mean, my mom says always ‘to have a kid is the easiest part — it’s everything afterwards that you have to deal with.’ I’m ready — I just want to make sure that everything is set up the right way, and my child is going to be born into an environment that is going to be amazing.”
That's a good perspective. Maks may finally have the right set-up pretty soon, IF he does join DWTS as a judge. He wouldn't have to spend all hours at the rehearsal studio, with no time for his wife/kids. It's a more stable situation. Now he just has to find the right lady friend — whether she's someone new or someone he already knows. Timing is everything in life, and if this is Maks's time to be a hubby/daddy, we wish him luck!
