Christina Aguilera Held to Strict Modesty Guidelines For Kuala Lumpur Show

While Christina Aguilera toned down her look on this past season of The Voice, even going a bit demure here and there, she’s still known for her sexy ensembles. That won’t be the case, however, when the pop diva makes her concert debut in Malaysia on March 28.

Xtina will perform for the Twin Tower @ Live 2014 concert in Kuala Lumpur and, according to the Malaysian Digest, has been asked to dress modestly, in accordance with the country’s cultural expectations. @Live 2014 project advisor Dato' Hafez Mohammed noted that it’s imperative Christina adheres to these guidelines in order to avoid a controversy.

According to Dato’, the “Say Something” singer and her team have been very supportive of the guidelines since partaking in discussions about the event. The singer’s management and concert organizer discuss the guidelines for international singers who perform there, and the singer must agree to these rules.

"We are excited and honoured to be able to bring in yet another famous international singer here. This will be Christina’s debut performance in Malaysia,” said Hafez.

The concert will reportedly be 75 minutes long, and Xtina will be backed up by about 40 dancers (whom we are guessing have to follow these guidelines as well).

We’re going to go out on a limb and say she won’t be dressed in the sexy sailor outfit she wore to perform for the troops on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Do you think Christina should have to tone down her look to perform in other countries? Weigh in below!
