Mama June Reveals Details of Relationship with Child Molester (VIDEO)

Set your DVRs guys. Honey Boo Boo’s mom, June “Mama June” Shannon, is finally giving an interview about her rumored relationship with Mark Anthony McDaniel, the man who served 10 years in prison after being convicted of aggravated child molestation in 2004. The victim? Her then 8-year-old daughter Anna “Chickadee” Shannon. So, what does June have to say for herself?

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight’s Brooke Anderson, June claims that she’s only seen Mark twice since his release. The first was by coincidence, while the second and last time was deliberate. According to ET online, June says she arranged a meeting between herself, Mark, and her daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, 14, to give Pumpkin closure, as her daughter was raised believing Mark to be her biological father.

"Since two months to almost six years, she knew nobody but him," June tells Brooke. "She was starting to resent Anna and she was starting to ask me questions. I can't answer those questions for Pumpkin." The meeting was arranged so Pumpkin could speak to Mark and ask him questions herself.

June claims Pumpkin was in no danger during the meeting. "I was sitting right there with twelve other people," June said. "It was a conversation that she wanted her answers: what happened, why did he leave, you know, if he was her real father. He admitted to her, no. I had already told her that but, you know, she wanted to hear from both sides of the story."

June reveals to Brooke that Mark was not in fact Pumpkin’s father, and that Pumpkin shares the same father as June’s 18-year-old daughter Jessica. Their father is another sex offender, Michael Anthony Ford, who served time after being featured on To Catch a Predator in 2005.

In the interview, which begins airing tonight, Thursday November 12, June admits that she never read the court documents from her daughter Anna’s molestation case. When Brooke tells June, “You would be horrified if you read the details of what she said he did to her,” June responds with “I’ve told Anna not to bring up the past again. It would be hard for me.” Anna is now 20 years old.

June says she wants to do the interview to “tell my side of the story, and let's move on." TLC cancelled her family’s show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo shortly after the allegations of June’s relationship with Mark surfaced.
