Who Paid For Mama June’s Weight Loss Surgeries on ‘From Not to Hot’?

When her new show From Not to Hot teased that Mama June had gone through a full transformation, they weren’t exaggerating.

The 37-year-old underwent a number of procedures, including a weight loss surgery that took her from around 400 pounds to a size 4.

Of course, a major makeover like that comes at a major cost — but who picked up the tab?

Before we get to that, let’s run through exactly what the former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star had done.

Since we last saw her in public, she had a gastric sleeve procedure that resulted in lots of stretched out skin.

Because of that, she underwent skin removal surgery on her arms and neck. That’s not all, though.

The mother of four also had a tummy tuck and a breast lift! Though we haven’t seen her final result yet, a sneak peek at her midway through the process shows just how different she’ll look.

Changing her entire look is a serious expense, but we figured WE tv had covered the cost. Boy were we wrong!

“I had to pay, just like everybody else,” the matriarch revealed on the Domenick Nati Show recently.

She added, “It was going to happen whether I had them [paying the bills] or not.”

Luckily for her wallet, it sounds like she’s done with going under the knife.

The reality star stated she’s "definitely not" going to have any more procedures — and she doesn’t consider what she’s had done “plastic surgery.”

She reasoned, “Plastic surgery to me is having something broke or something put on or whatever.”

She might be happy with how she looks, but would she be open to daughters Alana “Honey Boo Boo,” 11, and Lauryn “Pumpkin,” 17, having surgery to lose weight?

“I do encourage them to lose weight, but they’re teenagers,” she said.

What if they’re older?

“If it would make them confident, yes, I would definitely recommend the surgery.”

She concluded, “You have to do your research, definitely, and that’s what put me into the gastric sleeve to begin with, 'cause that helps you lose as much weight as possible.”
