Is Mariah Carey’s Backup Dancer Beau Bryan Tanaka Managing Her Career Now, Too?

New body, new career?!

Days after Mariah Carey debuted her svelte new figure, a result of weight loss surgery, it's been revealed her boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka, is now doubling as her manager.

But did the backup dancer cause the split between MC and her longtime manager, Stella Bulochnikov?

The 47-year-old star recently parted ways with her fiery manager Stella, with whom she had been working for the last three or so years.

On-again beau Bryan has stepped into the role, taking control of Mariah's career as well as her day-to-day life on a full-time basis, according to Page Six.

"Bryan is behind the whole split between Mariah and Stella. Bryan believes that he should be the one running Mariah's day-to-day life, and he's been orchestrating Stella's exit for a long time.

The source continued, "No one enjoys working with Stella. There's no secret that some people are happy she's out of the picture."

Bryan, 34, started dating Mariah following her high-profile split from the Australian billionaire James Packer.

But the source has insisted he "isn't the right person to run her career."

Meanwhile, another person close to the situation has claimed that Bryan's hands-on involvement with his girlfriend's career is simply an accident waiting to happen.

The source said: "This is a full-on Britney-and-Kevin Federline situation. Brian is a backup dancer, and knows nothing about managing an iconic artist."

Well, it's a good thing this entire story is fabricated.

Mariah's rep told Daily Mail that Bryan was not the one who caused the split between Mariah and Stella, and insisted the story "was published without merit."

Still, though, it's hard to deny that the mom of two's career has taken a bit of a hit in recent months without Stella.

More recently, Nick Cannon's ex has been dealing with negative media attention for her fluctuating weight, and let's not forget those reported financial troubles.

But the Grammy winner has a big few months ahead, as she wraps up 2017 with a series of Christmas concerts in NYC and moves her Las Vegas residency from Caesar's Palace to The Venetian beginning in March 2018.

Plus, she's always got "dem babies," Roc and Roe, to go home to!
