Married at First Sight’s Danielle & Cody Discuss Intimacy Issues (VIDEO) — Exclusive
Though Married at First Sight couple Cody and Danielle have made significant strides in their relationship, there is still one major issue looming over their heads.
On this week’s episode of the hit reality show, the pair deals with their intimacy issues, and it may be too much for the 26-year-old to handle.
With just weeks until decision day, it’s time for the newlyweds to figure out their relationship status ASAP.
The 30-year-old joins Cody in his hometown of Milwaukee and the pair seem happy with the trajectory of their marriage.
“Cody and I are in Milwaukee, it’s been really nice,” she says in an exclusive clip.
“So this was perfect, this was everything I needed to feel like we’re still growing together and we’re still working on this marriage.”
As they get closer to the end of the process, it’s important the couple discusses the concerns they have for their future.
“So what do you think of this whole marriage thing?” Danielle asks.
“It’s definitely harder than what I expected. It’s tough. What do you think?” Cody replies.
“I think we’re doing really well considering all of the things you can’t plan for or expect.”
Unfortunately for Cody, he is still very frustrated they haven’t had sex yet, something his wife is tired of discussing.
“Eventually I think we can get to a great marriage. My hardest thing in the relationship for sure has been not consummating this marriage,” Cody says.
“Wow, I can’t believe he brought it up again. Where we are or where we’re not sexually, like honestly, it’s really irritating me,” Danielle says back.
They’ve struggled with intimacy issues throughout most of Season 5 and it has put a serious wrench in their relationship.
“When I think of where Cody and I are at and where we’ve come from, we’re in a good place, so it’s frustrating to hear Cody say the same thing over and over, cause I know,” Danielle reveals.
“All I can do is keep being open, keep working on it, working on myself, and getting to know you more.”
But, if things don’t change between the two — aka if they don’t have sex — things may not end up working out.
“At the end of the day, me and Danielle aren’t having sex together and it’s scary that it might not ever change,” Cody says.
“So, to be honest, I don’t know how much more I can really stand, or how much more I really want to stand.”
