Will Sheila & Nate Get Divorced on the ‘Married at First Sight’ Season 5 Finale? (VIDEO) — Exclusive
The big day has finally come, people — it’s Married at First Sight Decision Day!
Tomorrow night’s (July 27) finale episode will see all of the Season 5 couples deciding whether they’re going to stay together or get divorced.
One of those pairs is Sheila and Nate who, as viewers have seen, definitely struggled this season.
From the get-go, the duo encountered challenges, with the 30-year-old bride breaking down in tears over past relationships on their honeymoon.
Weeks in, she was also detailing her experience with cheaters and general distrust of men, and admitting to taking that out on her car rental manager hubby.
Not that the 25-year-old groom was without fault, either, as he had a hard time dealing with her friendship with another man.
And recently it all came to a head when the facilities manager told her spouse that she was “done” and “ending the marriage” after a major blow-up fight.
But is she really?
In an exclusive sneak peek of the ep, we see them sit down with Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Pastor Calvin Roberson with their final decision.
Just like us, Pastor Calvin worries aloud that after all of their “serious challenges” they might be “headed for divorce.”
“I think my marriage has taught me a great deal about myself. One of those things is that my words have repercussions and I need to do a better job of controlling that,” Sheila starts off.
She adds, “I think that we both have triggers and I think that we’ve had a lot of trauma in our past.”
But then, the bride turns the blame on her man.
“I think that Nathan wasn’t as forthcoming,” she concludes, which seems to set him off.
He states, “The biggest challenge was our most recent argument. We just crossed some boundaries that we shouldn’t have crossed.
“We allowed that to slip in and take control of the moment. That right there I feel like was a turning point in our marriage.”
Sheila shoots back, claiming that moment led them “beyond the point of disrespect” and their marriage was permanently damaged in the process.
“It did give me a moment to just think about things and say, man, this ain’t right,” he chimes in.
However, Nate doesn’t sound like he’s fully out yet.
“Marriage is serious. It’s so easy to want to quit,” he muses.
That spurs Dr. Pepper to ultimately ask, “Sheila, do you want to stay married to Nate or do you want to get a divorce?”
