Bachelor Pad May Return in 2014! Will Tierra, James, Arie, Courtney Join Cast?

Could Bachelor Pad — ABC’s magical combination of The Bachelor, Bachelorette, Survivor and deep, lasting shame — be returning after a year off, bringing some of our favorite drama kings and queens back to TV?

Bachelor Pad was introduced in 2010, really went off the deep end on Season 2, and left us with jaws on the ground when Nick Peterson made the selfish/brilliant/evil/awesome move to keep all the money for himself in 2012’s BP3. Our hearts were broken when ABC decided not to air BP4 in summer 2013, but spoiler King Reality Steve just revived our hopes for summer 2014.

Toward the start of his January 23 video blog, Steve said Bachelor Pad will be coming back this summer. You really do need a good cast of Padawans to fill out the show and they apparently just needed to wait until they had enough candidates.

Not that casting is done, or even officially started — but Steve shared a few ideas for whom producers might want from Sean Lowe’s Bachelor Season 17, Desiree Hartsock’s Bachelorette Season 9, and Juan Pablo Galavis’s current Bachelor Season 18, with some spots left open for a few guys from the upcoming Bachelorette Season 10.

Sean’s season: Steve believes AshLee Frazier will “100 percent” be part of the show, since he thinks she’ll want to do it and the producers will want her, too. He also thinks maybe Daniella McBride will be involved and, if she wants to do it, Tierra LiCausi would be an obvious choice. (That sparkle has to be worth at least $250,000 right? $125K for each eyebrow?)

Des’s season: Steve thinks James Case, Drew Kenney and Michael Garofola are the most likely of Des’s group to want to do the show, and may be asked. Michael and AshLee dated after their respective seasons, and you know how much the producers love having ex-couples on Bachelor Pad, so they would be smart casting. Brooks Forester may want to do if it he feels like hanging out with his buddies, but otherwise he’s a question mark. (Pleeeeaaase, Brooks?) No word on Zak Waddell, but he was a fan fave, so they would probably ask him too, right? Although, considering he has a girlfriend, we can’t imagine she’d be stoked for him to take off and join the cast of crazies ... but he could just do it for the money. We've heard that line before.

*Spoilers ahead from Juan Pablo’s season*

Juan Pablo’s season: Since this season is the most fresh, Steve figures most of the BP4 girls will be from JPG’s group. Juan Pablo is said to pick Nikki Ferrell, taking her out of contention, and Steve thinks Andi Dorfman will be Bachelorette, leaving her out, too. “Free spirit” Lucy Aragon is an obvious pick — she was made for Bachelor Pad — and Steve thinks maybe Chelsie Webster would do it, and possibly Cassandra Ferguson, Christy Hansen and even rumored runner-up Clare Crawley. If they want to give the season a touch of class, they could invite single mom Renee Oteri (someone will need to hug the crying girls!) or see if Sharleen Joynt is up for more awkward moments.

Big name surprise: There’s usually a big name surprise of some kind, like when Bachelor Jake Pavelka joined Bachelor Pad 2 and BP2 winner Michael Stagliano returned for BP3. For a BP4 big twist, Steve "absolutely" thinks Emily Maynard’s runner-up Arie Luyendyk, Jr. would do Bachelor Pad, and maybe Ben Flajnik’s ex-fiancée Courtney Robertson would join him, since they too are an ex-couple and being on TV again could help Courtney promote her upcoming book. Seeing Arie and Courtney together would be worth tuning in to this season on its own. And maybe Bachelor Season 16 “villain” Courtney could try for a redemption edit on BP4, like Michelle Money on BP2.

Steve also heard they were "changing the show up" for BP4, but he didn't know what that meant. Maybe they’ll find a new way to end the show, beyond “keep” and “share,” or maybe that’s the one thing they’ll retain from past seasons. We’ll have to see. ABC has yet to confirm a Bachelor Pad return, but now we have our hopes up, dangling from the sky in the most dramatic challenge ever.

Are you excited for the possibility of Bachelor Pad returning, or were you never a fan? If you’re into this beautiful disaster, who should be cast?
